7 Southeast Asia software companies worth a shortlist (2026)
Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines and Malaysia, organised by what each firm is actually built for. Plus the two questions that decide an offshore engagement before the vendor does.
The short answer
Southeast Asia splits into two purchases rather than one. Large delivery organisations in Vietnam and the Philippines sell scale: hundreds of engineers, process maturity, and procurement that enterprises recognise. Smaller studios in Thailand and Malaysia sell seniority: a small team where the people who scope the work also do it. Decide which you are buying before you compare anyone, and decide how much timezone overlap you actually need, because that eliminates more vendors than capability does.
Southeast Asia is usually written about as one market with one pitch, which is cheaper engineers. That has not been the interesting part for a while. The region now contains delivery organisations with thousands of engineers and process built for enterprise procurement, and small senior studios that will not take a project they cannot staff with people who have done it before. Those are opposite products.
Two decisions before you look at any vendor
Both eliminate more candidates than capability does, and both are about you rather than them.
- 1How much overlap do you need with your own working day? Southeast Asia gives a full working day to Asia-Pacific, the Gulf and Australia, and most of the European morning. For North America it gives a window, not a day. A vendor promising your whole working day from this region is either running a night shift, which has a staffing cost that eventually reaches you, or is not being straight.
- 2Are you buying scale or seniority? Scale means many engineers, process maturity, and someone who can survive your procurement. Seniority means a small team where the person who scoped the work is on it. Firms are built for one of these and pretending otherwise is the most common source of disappointment.
Scale: large delivery organisations
1. FPT Software, Vietnam
The largest name in the region by a wide margin and the default enterprise answer. Its own site now positions squarely around AI: “We are an AI-First Company”, with a stated mission to “accompany global businesses to excel in the age of AI”. Services span IT strategy consulting, digital platforms, product engineering, and managed IT services, across healthcare, banking, insurance, automotive, manufacturing, logistics, aviation and energy. Relevant when the requirement includes a global delivery footprint and a vendor your board has heard of. Its published headcount figures did not render on the page we checked, so we are not quoting one.
2. NashTech, Vietnam and the United Kingdom
Positions as “IT consulting and technology services built to deliver business impact”, headquartered in the UK with delivery across Europe, Asia and the Americas, and describes itself as operating for nearly three decades. The model it sells is onshore leadership with offshore scale, which is the specific answer to the timezone problem above. Its own site states a client NPS of 68 and average client relationships of more than five years, and names clients including Evri, Dulux Group, Hays Travel, United Trust Bank and The Open University. The long-relationship figure is the one worth asking about: it is the hardest to fake and the most predictive.
3. Exist Software Labs, Philippines
Founded 2001, with offices in the Philippines and the US, and a stated team of more than 200 engineers and designers. Positions as “Build what’s next” and describes itself as a global digital enabler combining strategic consulting, partner-driven innovation and engineering. Focused on four regulated industries: banking and financial institutions, energy, healthcare and retail, naming clients including The Medical City, St. Luke’s Medical Center, PBCom and Robinsons Bank. Also offers staff augmentation and managed teams, which is a different purchase again; be explicit about which one you are buying.
Seniority: smaller studios
4. Seven Peaks, Thailand
Bangkok head office, established in Thailand in 2014, operating across APAC and Europe. Positions as “Senior-Led Digital Execution for Complex Initiatives”, and its own site makes the seniority claim concrete rather than decorative: approximately 85% senior practitioners in delivery roles, 30-plus nationalities, and consultants retained as employees rather than contractors. Names enterprise clients including PTT, PTTEP, SCG, Bangkok Bank, True and SCB, and partnerships with consultancies including Accenture and Capco. A strong shortlist entry when you want senior people but still need a vendor an enterprise procurement team will accept.
5. Snappymob, Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur. Positions as a technology consultancy helping enterprises architect, build and scale AI-enabled complex systems, with engineering leadership owning architecture from discovery through delivery. Publicly lists architecture reviews, system recovery, legacy modernisation, applied AI and fractional CTO engagements, and names enterprise clients across fintech, telecommunications and media. Holds ISO 27001 certification and an AWS Well-Architected partnership, which shortens security review.
6. Lizard Global, Malaysia and the Netherlands
Publicly positions as an international digital product studio with dual headquarters in Kuala Lumpur and Rotterdam. The dual-location structure is the distinguishing feature and it is a direct answer to the first decision above: European working hours and a European contracting entity, with Malaysian delivery behind it.
7. IntegrasiHub, Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur, building software since 2016. We design, build, modernise and maintain web, mobile and connected-product software for startups and enterprise teams. Published case studies cover a courier delivery dashboard, a school scheduling platform, a retail app with in-app live streaming and a field trip app. We publish no performance metrics for that work, because we hold no records that would make them true, and we say so on every case study.
Where we are the wrong call: we are a small senior team, not a scale vendor. If you need forty engineers next quarter, three firms above this line can do that and we cannot. We also do not do staff augmentation, custom firmware, PCB or manufacturing.
What this list is missing
We could not verify a Singapore or Indonesia entry to the same standard within this pass. One Indonesian firm we tried blocks automated access entirely, and we would rather leave a gap than describe a company from a directory summary we have not checked. That is also the honest reason most regional lists are longer than this one.
If you run a software firm in Singapore or Indonesia and think you belong here, email info@integrasihub.com with a link. We will check it against your own site and add you, and no, there is nothing to pay.
What to ask any of them
- 1Which hours will my team actually overlap with yours, and is anyone working nights to achieve it?
- 2Who scopes the work, and are they still on the project in month four? At scale vendors the answer is often no, and that can be fine if you know it going in.
- 3What does your contract say about IP, and in whose accounts does the code live during the build?
- 4How does this end? Ask for the handover specifics, not the intention.
- 5Can somebody who did not build it change it afterwards? That is the Second Version Test, and it separates software you own from a dependency on a vendor.
