DHL Debrief: delivery debrief dashboard
A courier debrief dashboard where a facility manager reads a route as a table and a map at the same time, and every stop in one view selects the same stop in the other.
What we did. Design and front-end engineering on the Debrief web application, working to the courier operator’s requirements.

The problem
A depot runs dozens of routes a day, and each one generates a list of stops, timestamps, geocodes and exceptions. Reading that list tells a facility manager what went wrong. It does not tell them where. Staff were moving between a spreadsheet of stop records and a separate map to answer one question: which stop caused this exception, and how far off was the driver. The operator asked for a single screen that answers both at once.
What we decided
The calls that shaped the build, and what each one let people do.

One selection, two views
The stop table and the map read from the same selection. Expanding a row zooms the map to that stop marker and opens its detail card: timestamp, dwell time, recorded geocode, checkpoint geocode and the distance between them.
A manager checking a flagged delivery sees the address, the driver’s recorded position and the gap between them without leaving the row.

Exceptions first on the facility screen
The facility overview opens on counts that need action. Delivery and pickup exceptions, ODD noncompliance, time-window failures and route status sit above the fold, with failing counts marked in red.
A manager starting a shift sees the day’s problems before scrolling, then drills into the route behind any number.

Export the view you are looking at
Route data exports to XLSX from the route overview, and the facility screen filters by country, origin, destination and date before export.
Depot staff hand the same figures to people who work in spreadsheets, without rebuilding the query elsewhere.
What we delivered
Capabilities above are read from the delivered interface (Debrief v3.6.0).
- Facility overview with delivery, pickup, ODD and time-window exception counts
- Route status and delivery status tiles with failing counts marked
- Route overview pairing a searchable stop table with a Google Map
- Stop detail showing timestamp, dwell time, geocode variance and consignee address
- Geocode variance flagging for stops beyond a 100m threshold
- Filters for country, origin facility, destination facility and date
- XLSX export of route data
We do not publish performance figures for this project. The records we hold describe what was built, not a measured before-and-after, and we would rather show the product than quote a number we cannot stand behind.
